Artificer don’t purchase pre shipment samples as they are experts in coffee, they always keep the coffee fresh and always stocked up. The founders Dan Yee and Shoji Sasa are artists of their craft and take their coffee very seriously. This café solely focuses on the coffee as you won’t find any food served here. There are many seasonal blends to choose from ranging from Colombia, Ethiopia, Kenya and Rwanda and the shop has been known to attract a loyal following of coffee lovers.

Single O

Single O is a coffee shop with an emphasis on sustainability and caring for the environment. All of their selection of beans is ethically sourced and roasted. They have implemented the use of the juggler in their shop having their milk flowing from tap to reduce waste and the whole roastery is run on solar energy. Sit back and relax where you can appreciate the installation by artist Renuka Fernando situated on the ceiling. The beans in single O have been sourced from Ethiopia, Brazil and Kenya, but to try their reservoir blend if you have the chance.

Mecca Coffee

This coffee house is located in a slick industrial warehouse in Alexandria with stylish black and white tiled floors, a spacious environment, a garden out back and a training/cupping room, seminars are held at 10AM on Saturdays. This is coincidently the time where the places license starts, there is a selection of wines, beers and cocktails served at Mecca. The brews made here are very consistent, matching the brews made at another branch as well as its sister café Soma. The place is visited by coffee enthusiasts who come to refill their beans at home sourced from Bolivia, Rwanda, Colombia, Peru and Ethiopia.

Coffee Alchemy frequently has a long queue which really speaks for itself.
