This great plugin combines the best player with all the great DirectX plugins you may have.
My only complaint is that it cannot start hidden when you load winamp, so I get this huge Sound forge 10 band EQ looking at me everytime I start winamp! Fix this and it's a 6, not a 5!
If you're an audiophile, u should get iZotope oZone Direct X version. when u run it with this buddy, ur music sounds like it is coming from heaven > go to the ozone website and download the mastering manual : i sat for days together trying diff settings, and now music sounds totally different. i wish i could give 10

A small, efficient stereo expander
A simple but very effective DSP! I never thought that my crappy little speakers could sound this good!!
Works well on those mono recordings. Tricks you into thinking they're in stereo.

Excellent! Simple but effective : Pick 1 of 3 levels of enhancement, adjust a few other sliders and checkboxes until it's tweaked just like you want, and rock on! (or dance on, or rave on, or twang on, or rap on, you get the picture).

works very well at enhancing the sound quality of the mp3 files, but the only problem is that you have to buy it to use for more than 14 days, if you can get around that, this is a great thing to have!

Great sound, great presets, and you can even skin the thing (Enhancer has a skin that's a close match for Nucleo_Nlog which is a good match for me).

There's simply nothing that enhances the sound of WinAmp as well as this does, but . . . , there are a few caveats:
1. You MUST have a reasonably fast computer. A P III 500 Mhz seems to work good.
2. If you have a decent sound system, this plug-in really enhances your sound. Of course, the better the system, the better Ozone sounds.
3. There are a lot of settings you can tweak, but you don't have to, if you don't want to. Simply scroll down the presets to "warm sounding equipment", and let Ozone do its stuff.

The best volume balancing plug-in I've tried!
I've checked out RockSteady and "Wide & Dyamix", both contenders for the crown, but TomSteady has them beat. It seems to use a different concept than the other two. In any event, howver it does, it works *really* well. I have a wide variety of mp3's, many different volume levels, many different types of music. TomSteady manages to make them all sound about right, and using it, I never have to manually adjust the volume of Winamp

One important part of studying a language is to hear it spolen. However, it's hard to "hang on" when e.g. mr Chirac speaks. With Chronotron I can play him back in "slow motion", then hearing what he says.

Does exactly what it says it does. And my reason for using it is I play guitar, and there are certain parts in songs that are just too fast for me to tab out by ear, this thing helps a lot.
But it's way too limited !! you can only modify the pitch by 100 cents !!! And there is no option to match the tempo and speed

Remove vocals while retaining the background music and vocals.
Its quality is similar to equipment costing $1000's. Don't even bother with other vocal removal plug-ins, they can't compare to DeFx. If you're serious about karaoke, this is a must have!

This thing is super. When you play a song the software grabs all the information about the artist/song/genre/and other fans of that song and presents all the info in a window. Buts thats not the coolest part. After a while of listening music I was given recomendations of other songs and artists i might like.. Cool thing was, the thing was dead on accurate.

Indeed it does exactly what it says. Seems stable enough. Quite cool, because flic files are a neat format that shouldn't go the way of the dinosaur.

After buying a fully featured 5.1 home cinema setup (Floorstanders, center, rears, expensive AV Amp, etc), i was rather dissapointed when my expensive SB Audigy Platinum would only play music down 2 channels (LR) with the digital output...
So i searched around and found this! Its not perfect, but its a whole lot better than only having 2 channels, every song ive played so far has sounded great (noticed a few strange artifacts, but only on one song, and it wasnt a great encode, mp3)

It's really not that hard: put out_ds.dll first before out_disk.dll, like the INSTRUCTIONS say. Cut the bullshit about shoutcast not working, if winamp can play it, stacker can record it.

Truly superb plug in.
Combined with nucleo_nlog_v102 plug in makes a very nice and beautiful old styled stereo. it was thoroughly tested in two different PIII (a 750mhz and a 933mhz) and it does not crash winamp (users who use it should probably look somewhere else for the cause of the crashes).
* Now calculates true RMS (hooptie!)

WAY Better than geiss.
Has great beat detection, and sometimes, it does the most amaZing things that give you chills down your spine. You can watch this for hours.
Nothing can even start to compare with it except tripex3. This is so great! it has never-ending combinations of visualizations and the graphics are so great!! I would have given ten trillion stars if i could have!

This visualization actually detects and quickly responds to the complicated beets of Jungle, and when i'm listening to an entire set and one song is being mixed into another it actually detects and responds to both beats simultaneously... It has done the impossible and looks good doing it, I removed all other visualizations, this is all I will ever need, cus who cares if it might not be as gorgeous, but it actually truely does go with the music and still looks good
